Evelyn Téri was born in Budapest , at present she lives and works in Vienna, Austria; she graduated with honors the Hungarian State Ballet School, studied with Hedwig Hidas, Horwath Margit, Boris Kniaseff, Olga Lepechinskaya, Marika Besobrasova, Anne Wooliams and Victor Gsovsky; she had an international career as ballet solist in Hungary, Germany, France, Japan and South America, danced as guest ballerina in several countries, worked with John Cranko, George Balanchine, Anton Dolin, Gyula Harangozo, Peter van Dyck, Horst Müller and danced principal parts in the classical ballets: Giselle, Swan Lake, La Sylphide, Coppelia, Don Quijote, La fille mal gardee, Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella, etc. She was also ballet teacher in Musikhochschule Mannheim, principal teacher for ballet, artistic project director and a professor at the Conservatory Vienna Privatuniversity, Accademia Nationale di Danza in Roma and Conservatoire Lubiana, as well as teacher for ballet, character dance and repertory, giving classes and workshops for companies. Evelyn Teri choreographed the ballets: Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Swan Lake and the Vienna Opera Ball for the Wiener Staatsballet. She was Executive Director at Vienna’s International Ballet and Dance Competition, ÖTR-Austrian Dance Council; Correspondent for Dance Magazine, New York Ballet Journal, Germany Danceart Budapest, Hungary Fort the excellent results in the field of arts, Evelyn Teri has received many international awards: „Europe Prize“ for Austrian Dance Council from CID (UNESCO), the title of „Professor“ of dance, from the Budapest Dance academy and from the Austrian Goverment.
